Who's Who?

Many people have been involved in getting BRISA started. Below are fourteen people who stand on the interim committee.

Mike Graham - Chairman
Mike Graham is a 47 year old Trades Union National Offical with responsibility for the nuclear industry and a team of staff in the North of England. He was brought up in Leyland, lives in Hoghton and works close to The Albert Dock in Liverpool.

Mike has been watching Rovers for 39 years, he's a season ticket holder in the Jack Walker Upper and 100 Club member

He has two daughters and enjoys trekking (the Spurs programme featured his photo with Rovers flag on Mount Toubkal), Red Wine and Vintage Port collection, gardening, real ale and winding up North End fans. He claims "I have never knowingly spoken to a Burnley fan, they would never admit to supporting such a team!".

Stuart Wilkinson - Tresurer/Vice-Chair
Stu has been watching Rovers for about 15 of his 26 years. The Human Resources officer from Leyland is a Blackburn End season ticket holder and spends his time watching sport (especially cricket) and watching Cbeebies (although he accredits this to having two young children).

Paul Brooking - Secretary
Paul Brooking is a 51 and in his 25th consecutive year as a season ticket holder. Original on Nuttall Street, Paul now sits in the Family Stand with his wife and three kids. Paul is a Sales Manager from Chorley and when not watching Rovers you'll find him pedaling around the sunny lanes of Lancashire - always assuming it's not raining!

Paul Says "The club has given me a great deal over the years. I'm disappointed by the fall in Rovers attendance and disillusioned with the way modern football works. I hope BRISA can put the football back into Blackburn Rovers FOOTBALL Club."

Clare Nolan - Web Mistress
Clare is a family stand season ticket holder and is currently a student of Geography at Manchester University and also works for a leading chain of bookmakers.

Clare is a budding web designer and as well as running several of her own football related sites also helps with web design tasks on brfcs.com.

Neil Thornton - Media Officer
39-year-old journalist whose first game at Ewood Park was in 1970 back in the old 3rd Division. Grew up in Darwen and the long walk home up Cravens Brow has been a lifelong after-match torment. Thankfully, the Golden Cup has for many years now provided much needed refreshment, at the summit, in the form of East Lancashire's best pint of Thwaites Bitter.

15 years working within the media tells me journalists are, on the whole, a reasonable bunch of people, open to anything - provided there's a half-decent story to tell.
